|Subject: Biostar talks AMD 870 motherboards Sat Apr 10, 2010 5:10 am|| |
Biostar is on preview mode this week so, after revealing its 880G line, the company has today offered quite a lot of info about its upcoming AMD 870-powered motherboards. Both featuring an ATX form factor, the Tseries TA870+ and TA870 boast a 5-phase power design, support dual-, triple-, quad- and hexa-core AM3 processors with a TDP of up to 140W, the BIO-unlocKING function, four DDR3-1800 memory slots, Gigabit Ethernet, two PCI-Express x16 slots and no on-board graphics (hence the lack of G in the chipset name).The TA870+ includes 7.1 channel audio, plus one eSATA and five SATA 6.0 Gbps ports, while the TA870 comes with 5.1 audio and six SATA 6.0 Gbps connectors. Biostar hasn't said anything about the two motherboards' release but they'll likely reach shops late this month.
